The 2026 Poetry Book Contest is now open. This year's judge will be Srikanth Reddy<\/a>. Please see 2026 guidelines here.<\/a><\/p>\n

Submissions will be accepted via Submittable<\/a>. We will accept submissions until June 30th, 2026. In addition to our contest winner, at least one other book is chosen each year for our Editor's Prize.<\/p>\n

Individual poems from submitted manuscripts have also been selected for publication in the Barrow Street<\/em> journal and\/or our affiliated multi-genre journal, Ocean State Review<\/em>.<\/p>\n

John Murillo has chosen Pagan Era<\/em> by Philip Schaefer as the winner of our 2025 Poetry Book Prize. The Editors' Prize was awarded to Hurt Music <\/em>by Genevieve Payne and Somewhere Horses<\/em> by Jasmine Khaliq. These books will be available in late 2026\/early 2027.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t
