Yet her pens\u00e9es, troubled meditations and edgy but graceful lyrics are too searching and honest to look to these sources for <em>consolation<\/em>. The needle<\/p>\n<p>that pierced through<br \/>\nthen the thread that<br \/>\nfollows, that seems<\/p>\n<p>immeasurable, but so<br \/>\nthin, delicate. I run<br \/>\nmy fingers along<\/p>\n<p>the healed seams<br \/>\nin my skin, the patched<br \/>\nruptures in the walls<\/p>\n<p>of my mind. But now<br \/>\nthe storm has washed<br \/>\nthe pavement, lost water<\/p>\n<p>rises from its unadorned<br \/>\nbody and the flowering<br \/>\ntrees flood the gutters<\/p>\n<p>with pink.
